About Us
My Story
My name is Lucas K. Saunders, founder and owner of Wheelie Good Coaching and LKS Consulting.
Five years ago, I got my dream job working with Bark Busters certified dog trainers across the United States and Canada. These weren't just any dog trainers, these were talented professionals who could rehabilitate aggressive dogs, resolve complex behavioral issues that most people would give up on, and transform the lives of families who were struggling with their pets. I had the privilege of connecting their expertise with families who desperately needed it.
Every day, I spoke with dog owners at their breaking point. The family whose rescue dog was showing food aggression toward their toddler. The couple considering rehoming their beloved dog because of separation anxiety that was destroying their home. The senior citizen whose new puppy was becoming unmanageable. These weren't just sales calls… they were people.
I learned to recognize the if we could help or not, or if the people and dog were a good fit. I understood when a client needed behavior modification and I was able to articulate how our customized in home training approach can help. This wasn't information I read from a script, it was knowledge I built through thousands of conversations with both trainers and their potential clients.
I loved what I did, and I was good at it.
Then Everything Changed
In 2025, AI and automation began replacing human support systems across the industry. It started small with automated scheduling systems, and AI Agent follow-up sequences. The promise was efficiency and cost savings. The reality was that something essential began to disappear.
At first, the changes seemed harmless. Why not automate appointment confirmations? Why not use a AI Agents 24/7? But the automation didn't stop there. Before long, entire sales teams were being replaced with automated funnels and these AI Agents. The conversations that once required empathy and expertise were being handled by algorithms optimized for conversion rates.
By December 2025, the technology had evolved to the point where it could handle everything from qualifying leads, providing quotes, even booking sales. And as you can probably guess, AI replaced me too.
What Got Lost in Translation
Automated systems could answer questions, but they can’t actually sell.
I saw inquiries that should have converted into clients slipping through the cracks. I heard from trainers who were frustrated with clients complaints. The data looked fine on paper, response times were faster, information was consistent, efficiency metrics were up. But the human element that turned hesitant inquiries into confident decisions was missing.
The trainers I'd worked with for five years, the professionals I'd built relationships with, whose businesses I'd helped grow, whose success I'd celebrated… they were losing something irreplaceable. They were losing the advocate who truly understood their work and could communicate its value with authenticity and passion.
The Opportunity
The industry was moving toward automation because it seemed like the logical next step. But "logical" doesn't always mean "better." There were trainers out there who still valued the human touch in their sales process for 15+ years, who understood that the first conversation with a potential client sets the tone for the entire relationship. These trainers didn't just need someone to answer phones and schedule appointments, they needed a sales partner who could represent their expertise, connect authentically with clients, and close deals with the same professionalism they brought to their training.
I had spent five years developing exactly that skill set. I knew the industry inside and out. I had the relationships, the experience, and the proven track record. Most importantly, I still believed that the best sales conversations happen between two people who actually care about the outcome.
So I launched Wheelie Good Coaching with a clear mission: provide dedicated, expert sales representation for dog training professionals across the United States, offering the human expertise, authentic connection, and industry knowledge that technology simply cannot replicate.
How We Work
Today, we work directly with Bark Busters home dog trainers nationwide, providing the same caliber of sales support they relied on before automation took over.
When a potential client calls, they get an immediate response. Whether the client finds us on the Bark Busters website or if they give us a call, they will receive a call back within 60 min during business hours
We handle the initial consultation with expertise and empathy, asking the right questions to understand not just what the client wants, but what they truly need. We follow up thoughtfully with leads who need time to make a decision, providing additional information, answering concerns, and building the trust that turns a maybe into a yes. We manage objections with insight rather than pressure, because we understand that a client who feels heard and respected is far more likely to commit than one who feels sold to.
Your clients need your dog training. We make sure they understand the program and book.
